Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site position located in Syracuse, NY, for an Academic Cardiac Intensivist. Responsibilities include providing specialized care to critically ill patients with cardiac conditions, supervising and training medical students, residents, and fellows, and engaging in academic research. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care and active involvement in clinical and educational initiatives are key components of this role.
Qualifications- Strong clinical expertise in cardiac critical care and patient-centered medical care.
- Experience in teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Proficiency in conducting and interpreting cardiac-specific diagnostic tests and treatments.
- Advanced skills in communication, teamwork, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.
- Commitment to academic research and contributing to publications or presentations.
- M.D. or D.O. degree, board certification in Critical Care Medicine, Cardiology, or related specialties.
- Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of New York.
- Experience with advanced hemodynamic monitoring and managing complex cardiac cases is highly desirable.
