Position Overview Seeking an experienced and motivated Medical Director of Hospital Medicine to lead a dynamic inpatient team in Syracuse, NY. This full-time leadership role offers stable weekday hours, no call, and the opportunity to shape clinical operations within a respected community-focused hospital system.

  Leads the Hospital Medicine team; collaborates with administrative and clinical staff to enhance operations and quality of care

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Hospital Medicine team in a full-time day shift leadership role
• Oversee inpatient care delivery and performance metrics
• Collaborate with hospital leadership to implement best practices and quality initiatives
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and regulatory standards
• Maintain and improve service quality, safety, and efficiency
• Support recruitment, training, and retention within the department
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and workflow management

Candidate Requirements

• Experience:
  
  Required - will not accept new graduates
• Board Certification:
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible (must achieve certification within 2 years)
  • Internal Medicine or Family Medicine background preferred
• Licensure:
  Active or eligible for New York medical license
• Other:
  • Not accepting Locums candidates
  • Not accepting Visa candidates

• Base Salary:
