Job Summary

We are seeking a part-time qualified and caring Registered Dental Hygienist who wants long-term, stable employment to join our team! We are a high quality, highly regarded, busy dental practice that has been located in Eastwood since 1955. Qualifications

Graduate of accredited dental hygienist school and licensed to practice hygiene in the state of New York.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and oral examinations

Perform preventive and therapeutic dental hygiene procedures such as scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments.

Take digital intraoral and panorex radiographs

Chart caries and periodontal conditions as an aid to diagnosis.

Apply pit and fissure sealants.

Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of maintaining good dental health.

Maintain aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Review documentation to ensure compliance with office protocols and standards.

Skills

Proficient in-patient assessment techniques and be familiar with general dentistry practices.

Experience working in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred but new graduates are also encouraged to apply.

Experience with ultrasonic instruments is encouraged but not required.

Computer experience is required, prior experience with Eaglesoft is a plus.

Strong understanding of aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment.

Competent in documentation review processes to ensure thorough record keeping.
