Overview
Haz Tek is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to oversee safety operations on our commercial construction projects. This role is critical in ensuring OSHA compliance, implementing best safety practices, and fostering a culture where every worker goes home safe.

- Oversee all aspects of a complex commercial construction project, ensuring full OSHA compliance
- Lead and mentor a team of on-site EHS professionals across multiple work areas
- Conduct daily safety meetings, orientations, and subcontractor safety briefings
- Perform regular field audits, jobsite inspections, and hazard assessments
- Lead incident and accident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action planning
- Partner with project leadership and ownership during safety walks and reviews
- Review and maintain safety documentation, plans, and programs
- Oversee high-risk activities including excavation, utilities, fall protection, scaffolding, and steel erection
- Drive a proactive, culture-first approach to safety across all contractors and trades
- Minimum 7 years direct construction safety experience required
- Degree in a safety related field preferred
- OSHA 510 and or 500 a plus
- CHST or CSP preferred
- Advance knowledge of construction safety standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills
