Sr. Accountant

Description Robert Half is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our client, a dynamic and growing company in the manufacturing industry located in Syracuse, NY. This is a permanent position offering competitive starting compensation between $60,000 and $65,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform account analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data. Complete account reconciliations with attention to detail and resolve any discrepancies. Assist with month-end close procedures, including preparation of journal entries and financial reporting. Review and maintain the general ledger, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and accounting standards. Support internal audits and provide documentation as needed. Contribute to process improvements and streamline accounting functions for greater efficiency.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry. Proven experience with account analysis, account reconciliation, and month-end close processes (required). Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and formulas knowledge is preferred). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
