Eviction Paralegal

A fast paced boutique law firm that represents mortgage lenders and servicers throughout the State of New York is seeking an Eviction Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join our growing team. Our practice areas include foreclosure, bankruptcy, evictions, REO closings, and related litigation. We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented professional to join our team.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Reviewing and analyzing legal documents
• Preparing pleadings, correspondence, and other legal filings
• Communicating with courts, opposing counsel, and clients both verbally and in writing
• Calendaring, tracking, and monitoring deadlines
• Monitoring court dockets and case activity
• Performing additional duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
