Our Client, a Marketing Organization in Syosset, NY is seeking a Senior Director of Human Resources to join their team. The Senior Director, Human Resources is a sole practitioner for the HR function, responsible for creating and aligning HR strategies with business goals and processes.
Key Responsibilities- Champion continuous evolvement to align HR strategies with the company mission, values and business goals
- Partner with senior leadership on the delivery of the overall people strategy, road mapping future capabilities, holding development and planning sessions, and utilizing tools such as the 9 grid, compensation philosophy and benchmarking and benefits strategies, etc.
- Drive strategic business outcomes with the senior leadership team from a consultative and advisory role
- Oversee day to day HR functions including talent strategy, employee relations, benefits, performance review cycle, recognition, payroll and HR related processes
- Optimize the onboarding experience
- Manage time and attendance, PTO, FMLA and Paid Family Leave
- Make data driven recommendations for effective HR strategies
- Promote core values and collaboration
- Champion change, growth and evolution
- Create training and compliance programs including leadership development and upskilling to support career mobility and long-term succession planning
- Handle all HR related investigations and resolutions
- Develop scalable retention strategies
- Optimize HR systems and data capabilities
- Stay current with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations for the United States, Canada and New Zealand, and ensure compliance
- Perform other duties as assigned
- 10+ years progressive HR leadership experience
- SHRM certification a plus
- Strong performance management and coaching experience
- Passionate about employee engagement and experience
- Fundamental knowledge of labor and employment laws in the United States, Canada and New Zealand
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality
- Ability to build rapport with all employees
- Knowledge of Paychex Flex, ADP and Datacom payrolls a plus
- Knowledge of performance management system such as Culture Amp a plus
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and analytical skills
- Microsoft platform including SharePoint, Teams, and Viva Engage
The compensation for this position ranges from $ - $. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the specific role, office location as well as the individual’s qualifications, experience, skills and certifications.
