Location: Syosset, NY (on-site with partial remote flexibility)

Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week (16 on-site, 4 remote)

Compensation: $23–$25/hour, based on experience

About the Role

The Fashionable Stylista is a premier fashion design academy in Syosset, NY, dedicated to inspiring and training the next generation of designers. Our programs serve students from elementary through high school in a creative, structured, and professional environment.

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Administrative Assistant to support daily operations at our Syosset location.

This part-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a creative setting while managing administrative and organizational responsibilities with precision and professionalism.

The ideal candidate must be dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a consistent weekly schedule. This position is best suited for someone seeking a long-term opportunity with the potential to grow as the organization continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and handle general inquiries
  • Manage student registrations, class rosters, and attendance records
  • Assist with scheduling, invoicing, and maintaining databases
  • Order office and classroom supplies and keep inventory organized
  • Prepare materials for classes, workshops, and events
  • Support studio organization and daily operations
  • Update and maintain website content and services through Wix
  • Assist the CEO with scheduling, calendar management, and event coordination
  • Help manage the studio calendar by adding class and event dates as needed
  • Assist with light marketing and communication tasks (emails, social media, flyers, etc.)
  • Coordinate logistics for special events such as camps and fashion shows
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in an administrative or customer-facing role
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)
  • Familiarity with Wix
    , Canva, and other basic digital tools
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Professional, dependable, and positive attitude
  • Interest in fashion, education, or creative industries a plus
Schedule

Approximately 20 hours per week

• 16 hours on-site (typically 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM, 4 weekdays)

• 4 hours remote for administrative and marketing tasks

• Occasional flexibility required during camps, fashion shows, or special events
