Tax Accountant

Overview

Our client is hiring an high level Tax Accountant to play a critical role in integrating acquired accounting firms into our platform. This individual will work closely with existing partners and clients, ensuring smooth transitions, continuity of service, and long-term client satisfaction.

This is a highly visible, strategic role requiring deep tax expertise, strong client-facing skills, and leadership experience.

• Lead client transitions for acquired firms, ensuring seamless service continuity and high client satisfaction
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during and after transition
• Manage and review tax returns across multiple entity types, including:
  Corporations (1120), Partnerships (1065), Trusts and Estates (1041)
• Oversee, mentor, and develop tax staff on compliance, planning, and client service
• Ensure high-quality, efficient workflows for tax preparation and review
• Identify opportunities for tax planning, advisory services, and firm growth
• Successfully transition client relationships from existing partners to your leadership
• Contribute to firm strategy and initiatives focused on scalability, innovation, and operational excellence

• CPA (or equivalent) strongly preferred
• 10+ years of progressive tax experience, including review responsibilities
• Open to candidates with 5+ years of experience if CPA (or equivalent)
• Strong technical expertise in individual, corporate, and partnership taxation
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and senior stakeholders
• Leadership mindset with experience managing staff and complex client relationships
