Job Description

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education Level: Master's degree
  • Certification/License Required:
    Valid Georgia Educational Leadership Certificate Required for employment
  • Experience: 3 years of successful educational experience
  • Physical

    Activities:

    Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities
  • Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
    Written and oral communication; leadership; organizational and interpersonal skills; computer competence; instructional strategies that connect the curriculum to the learners; student management
  • REPORTS TO:
    Principal


    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Demonstrate prompt and regular attendance.
  • Consistently model and actively promote shared decision-making, high expectations, mutual respect, and a positive school culture.
  • Support, communicate, and implement school safety measures and crisis emergency plans to create and sustain a safe, secure, orderly, and healthy learning environment consistent with district rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist in the enforcement of policies concerning student discipline and attendance.
  • Keep the principal apprised of activities, situations, and developments that effect the school operation.
  • Assist with the organization and implementation of staff development; assist in the supervision of extracurricular program.
  • Supervise the proper use and preservation of buildings, grounds, furnishings, equipment, and facilities of the school.
  • Implement employee evaluation systems fairly and consistently, within required timeframe and format, to document proficiencies and deficiencies, and to provide timely formal and informal feedback.
  • Supervise student activities, assemblies, and other activities; assist in organizing student activities.
  • Support a fiscally responsible budget to support the school's mission and goals.
  • Model professionalism in appearance, respect, understanding, sensitivity, and demeanor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator.
  • TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 210 day position. Salary based on board approved certified teacher pay schedule.

    Performance of this job will be evaluated annually by the principal.
