Carino Management Services Pty Ltd is currently looking for a chef for our facility in Russell Lea. The Chef will report to the Care and Services Manager and will perform the following:
Preparation of menu with the consumers
Preparing meals
Oversee the dining experience
Ensure full compliance with NSW Food regulations and the respective Aged Care Standards
Lead the catering team including providing training
Liaising with other members of the health care team, to identify resident care needs, plan interventions and review outcomes of care in relation to diets and texture modified meals.
Manage the budget and ordering in line with the menu
Successful applicants must have:
At least 4 years experience as a chef
A comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the ageing process, particularly to age-related health issues.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Ability to prioritise and manage workloads according to resident’s needs.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplined work team.
Demonstrated interpersonal and written communication skills including demonstrated experience interacting with a wide range of people.
Demonstrated knowledge of workplace health and safety.
Commitment to continuous improvement.
A previous working experience in the aged care setting is desirable.
