Job Summary:The Electrical Controls Engineer plays a pivotal role by using their analytical skills to examine and improve a process and increase productivity while collaborating with other departments and customers to create and implement processes that increase efficiency.
Duties/Responsibilities:- Rockwell Automation Software including Control Logix/RSLogix 5000, SLC 500/RSLogix 500, Ether Net/IP Design and Configuration, Factory Talk View
- Evaluate and troubleshoot automation manufacturing control systems consisting of PLCs, AC and DC drives, and HMI interfaces
- Develop and edit PLC programs and make system hardware recommendations to resolve operation problems
- Design control systems and prepare drawings
- Document and maintain revisions to existing automated systems
- Maintenance of appropriate PLC and computer software/hardware information
- Electrical engineering, hardware design, systems integration, PLC programming, motion programming, HMI configuration, component specification, project management, start‑up, and commissioning of capital projects
- Support and assist maintenance personnel in troubleshooting, testing, modifying, and installing electrical equipment and control systems
- Integration of Fanuc robotics
- Vision Systems;
Cognex, Keyence, Fanuc Robot Vision (2d and 3d) - Automated material conveyance systems utilizing VFD’s, PLC’s, and servo motion control components
- Ability to manage multiple projects with the flexibility of adapting to changing priorities
- Demonstrated leadership, strong interpersonal skills, and excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated self-starter and independent worker
Must be effective and comfortable in team‑oriented environment - 5 to 15% travel
BS in Electrical Engineering or appropriate major recommended
Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Must be able to work overtime and available for weekends as needed
