ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Assisting the lead operator in a variety of duties, such as startup/shutdown of equipment, troubleshoot issues, etc.
  • Assist maintenance personnel with general maintenance of plant equipment.
  • Bagging, labeling products and transferring them to a staging area driving/using a forklift.
  • Responsible for cleaning and organizing plants.
  • Collecting quality control samples.
  • Completing Operator Care assessments of equipment.
  • Proposes measures to improve methods, performance and quality of product.
  • Completes LOTO of equipment for maintenance or operational issues.
  • Routinely work in confined spaces (Drums/Mixers) with pneumatic tools for entire shifts.
EDUCATION
  • Minimum High School Degree or GED equivalent preferred.
WORK EXPERIENCE
  • One to two years of production experience preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Must have basic knowledge in manufacturing environment.
  • Must be self‑motivated and can work independently.
  • Must be able to read and interpret production schedule.
  • Must have basic computer skills to navigate through multiple screens and input data.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Communicating with internal and external customers – must be able to talk, hear, see, and comprehend.
  • Mobility of arms – Must be able to reach, and use arms to manipulate small objects.
  • Mobility inside the plant – Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, reach, bend, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to move and work in tight confined spaces for extended periods of time.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Work is routinely performed in a general warehouse environment on a concrete surface, with frequent exposure to both internal and external environment.
  • Frequent exposure to severe weather conditions, both heat and cold.
  • Frequent exposure to dust, and noise levels that exceed a normal threshold.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
  • Must wear steel-toed boots.
  • Recommended:
    Safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, back brace, and safety attire as noted by guides provided in specific areas. These items will be provided by Harrell’s upon request.
  • Personal Protective Equipment must be worn in accordance with SDS recommendations.
