Position Summary
The Pharmacy Manager fclose is responsible for all day-to-day activities affecting the people, operations, and merchandise in their division. The Pharmacy Manager must also ensure that the Pharmacy operates according to Walmart policy, professional standards, and garnishes provincialanimical and federal regulations.
What You’ll DoLead the Pharmacy and OTC teams including participation in the recruitment and interviewing of candidates, train all associates on OBWs/SOPs and Walmart workflow and ensure their execution. Develop, assess, motivate and retain team members. Promote Walmart's brand to team members and customers. Create a functional and collaborative relationship with the Professional Services District Manager, the Store Management team, and the Store Manager.
Operate the Pharmacy to achieve established plans and budgets. Manage efficient associate scheduling according to business needs, ongoing associate assessment, and periodic performance reviews. Develop and execute business action plans to meet corporate goals and create corrective action plans based on deficiencies identified in reports (P&L, FSA visits, POAs, etc.) or by audits and DM visits. Maintain accurate inventories in the Pharmacy by following Walmart OBWs/SOPs (receiving inventory management, disposal of expired products).
Address all customer complaints and resolve all customer problems to ensure an excellent customer experience. Provide regular care of the Pharmacy to ensure a proper appearance and a hospital-clean environment for associates and patients. Maintain the professional image for the Pharmacy area as per Workstation Standardization and 6S Audit. Cascade communication from the SSC to all Pharmacy associates and OTC.
Execute all programs assigned to the Pharmacy by the Prof Services team. Establish collaborative relationships with other healthcare providers within the store (clinics, Vision Centre, community, etc.). Ensure that the Pharmacy is open and operational during posted business hours. Supervise and support the OTC manager in their everyday duties and responsibilities. Ensure excellent patient experience and locate merchandise on the sales floor.
Strengthen working relationships with Professional Services District Managers and other stakeholders. Accept prescriptions and/or refill requests from customers, doctors, or hospitals. Fill all prescriptions accurately, efficiently, and safely using established workflow models and counsel all patients on sold pharmaceutical products. Ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products. Execute processes as per OBWs/SOPs. Operate all pharmacy equipment (register, computer system, etc.). Protect and maintain patient privacy at all times and follow provincial regulations established by the regulatory body.
Ensure patients receive all eligible services (medication reviews, injections, etc.) to meet specific patient needs.
The pay range for this position is $57.60 - $77.40/hr rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.

Minimum Qualifications- Age - 16 or older
- License - Pharmacist License (secondary optional permit in Alberta: - Additional Prescribing Authorization)
