DescriptionJob Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced National Account Manager – INDEVCO Building Products to join our team. The National Account Manager is responsible for establishing, sourcing, developing, and maintaining new business opportunities and key relationships within their assigned areas. The role is focused on increasing outside sales revenue and overall revenue generation. This position will lead the creation, implementation, and administration of sales targets and objectives, as outlined in key performance indicators.
- Manage direct account responsibilities for National Builders and Big-Box Retailers throughout the United States.
- Proactively source, identify, and obtain new business opportunities with both new and existing customers; manage resources needed to support these opportunities.
- Maximize growth and profitability for the National Builder Program and Big-Box Retailer business.
- Lead all contract negotiations with National Builder Accounts and Big-Box Retailers, including coordinating with marketing and senior management.
- Develop and implement account plans for each key customer in the builder segment and communicate plan components to the appropriate internal and external stakeholders.
- Connect with and contact potential customers and related vendors.
- Work with National Builders and Big-Box Retailers to build and maintain effective supply chain networks.
- Collaborate with R&D, Management, and Marketing to identify and design customer-based solutions within our product portfolio.
- Utilize market and customer research to build value propositions tailored to customer & industry needs.
- Monitor market conditions, product innovations, competitor offerings, pricing, and sales trends.
- Understand, assess, and communicate customer technical requirements and evaluate the company’s ability to meet them.
- Implement the National Builder Account and Big-Box Retailer strategy and communicate updates to all appropriate stakeholders.
- Partner with sales and finance teams to develop pricing strategies and programs.
- Represent INDEVCO at national builder associations, trade shows, and conferences.
- Address challenges and opportunities by monitoring client needs, product quality, and service.
- Maintain strong interpersonal relationships and communication throughout the sales cycle to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Liaise with cross-functional internal teams to enhance overall customer experience.
- Support sales efforts through follow-up communication and effective CRM utilization.
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Proficiency in CRM platforms
- 3–5 years of experience managing National Builder Accounts and Big-Box Retailers in building products
- Understanding of market forces affecting builders and related industries
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Experience with account management and strategic planning
- Working knowledge of pull through programs, builder relationship management, and multi step distribution processes and Proven track record of sales growth and results-driven performance
