- Design microfluidic reactors for operando studies of photocatalysts, including hydrogen evolution reactions (HER), hydrogenation reactions, and decomposition of organic pollutants.
- Perform experiments in PSI laboratories and at synchrotron radiation facilities; process and analyse data.
- Optimize and automate reaction parameters, correlating structural data with the materials’ catalytic performance.
- Master’s degree in physics, chemistry, materials science or related field.
- Ability to perform experimental and theoretical work, find new solutions, and work independently.
- Background in heterogeneous catalysis, photocatalysis, electrocatalysis, or microfluidics.
- Understanding of principles behind different spectroscopic techniques.
- Experience in scientific programming using Python for data analysis.
- Ability to integrate easily in an interdisciplinary research team and strong communication skills.
