Responsibilities
  • Carry out research on the theory of angle‑resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES)
  • Implement new methods and improve open‑source scientific software used in the group
  • Perform first‑principles simulations of ARPES for materials relevant to orbitronics
  • Identify fingerprints of orbital angular momentum
  • Identify promising materials for orbitronics applications
  • Collaborate with experimental groups
  • Support research and teaching activities generally
Profile
  • A PhD degree in Physics or a closely related field
  • A strong background in theoretical condensed‑matter physics or related disciplines
  • Basic knowledge of photoemission spectroscopy or related techniques
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of first‑principles simulations based on DFT
  • Good programming skills in Fortran and Python
  • Good command of English and excellent communication skills
  • The ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with both theoretical and experimental partners
