Position OverviewThe Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing the design of a new pilot line and all daily operations of the manufacturing facility to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. This role involves managing production teams, maintaining equipment and facilities, enforcing compliance with company standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to meet organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead all plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality assurance, and logistics.
- Develop and implement manufacturing strategies that align with company goals for productivity and profitability.
- Monitor daily operations to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Manage budgets, production schedules, and resource allocation to meet customer and business demands.
- Analyze performance data and implement corrective actions to optimize plant efficiency.
Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. - Oversee maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and quality departments to drive operational excellence.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate staff performance; promote professional growth within the plant team.
- Lead and support process improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Operations, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Strong knowledge of production management, maintenance systems, and process improvement methodologies.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and achieve performance targets.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in ERP systems, production scheduling, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Applicants must hold a valid permit to work in Switzerland.
