The Buildings & Grounds Department for Bloomington Public Schools pulls from this posting multiple times throughout the year to hire base custodians. Hires happen on an as‑needed basis. The posting expires at the end of each school year and re‑opens in time for the next school year. Please submit your application. As positions open, you will be contacted for an interview.

Requirements
  • Clean and maintain areas of a school building such as sweeping, emptying waste baskets, mopping, vacuuming, minor repairs, setting up for events and take downs
  • Prompt, regular and reliable attendance
  • Able to lift 60 lbs
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Mechanical ability
  • Demonstrate written and verbal skills
  • Other duties as assigned
