Full Time Custodian

189 work day calendar - 4 day week

Starting salary is $18.85 per hour - 9 hours/day

• Eligible for PERA Retirement Plan
• Sick/Personal days earned at 1 day for every 18 days worked

• Must be able to meet and maintain a daily cleaning schedule
• Must be in good physical health and be able to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to read and understand basic operating instructions
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with staff
• First Aid and CPR Certificate or ability to obtain one

• Check for maintenance problems, check inventory, and give to proper personnel
• Inform other shift custodians of any new changes or tasks that need to be performed
• Keep equipment clean and inventory checked
• Inform Director of problems
• Clean buildings as directed by the Custodial Director (including restrooms) to maintain a safe, healthy, attractive, and efficient school environment
• Make minor building repairs as needed and directed
• Clean walks, school grounds, and parking lots as assigned by the Custodial Director
• Assist in installing items such as bulletin boards, chalk boards, cabinets, etc.
• Clean restrooms and replenish supplies
• Assist with determination and completion of minor repairs, remodels, etc. as directed by the Custodial Director
