Day Custodian (Floater)

This position will travel among the district based on daily building needs.

Assist in the efficient operation of the Facility Department within our district and to project a positive image of the Ladue School District while supporting an appropriate physical environment.

• Appropriate safety precautions to be used at all times while performing essential duties.
• Communicate with other staff and Building Administration in an effective and timely manner.
• Work cooperatively with other staff members.
• Use cleaning materials and equipment appropriately and on the correct surfaces.
• Clean assigned building/areas/rooms including grounds, restrooms, and waste containers.
• Assume responsibility for the safe condition of all assigned areas and/or equipment operated/repaired.
• Assist with other Facility Department operations as assigned.
• Consult with immediate Supervisor and the Director of Facilities regarding any observed maintenance, safety or problem areas.
• Report any accidents or unsafe incidents to the immediate Supervisor and/or Director of Facilities.
• Responsible for moving furniture, equipment, and supplies to designated areas.

• Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures

• High school diploma or equivalency
• Prior experience in an educational setting (preferred)

Hourly rate ranges from $15.81 - $23.71, based on verified prior experience and education. This is a 12-month, benefits eligible position.
