Supply Chain - Material Planner Consultant
We are looking for a Supply Chain Material Planner to join our teams in Visp and support the proactive planning, coordination, and delivery of raw materials to ensure timely production start dates.
Your Responsibilities- Ensure the material requirement plan is accurately reflected in SAP, guaranteeing timely availability of raw materials to support the product Supply Plan.
- Liaise with all key functions (Supply Planners, Schedulers, Operational Buyers, Procurement) to provide timely updates to material plans considering changes in production schedules or material availability issues.
- Drive the timely resolution of material availability issues/risks, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to implement mitigation actions.
- Execute key tasks to support inventory plans, optimize stock levels, and reduce scrap/waste.
- Maintain detailed material planning parameters in planning systems and ensure their continuous improvement.
- Expedite material availability through proactive communication with material management teams involved in inbound material processing.
- Create and manage material-related KPIs and metrics to provide an accurate understanding of material availability and performance.
- Collaborate with Supply Planners, Schedulers, and Project Managers to develop safety stock levels and inventory strategies that align with production plans.
- Track, report, and facilitate on-time material availability, including testing and release for production.
- Degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a relevant field.
- Proven experience in SCM, materials planning/scheduling, or purchasing within a manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate risks, issues, and updates effectively.
- Proficient in SAP and MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; fluent in English (German is a plus).
