Dev Ops Engineer (CI/CD, Azure Dev Ops, Jenkins) Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Dev Ops Engineer> to sit at the heart of the software delivery lifecycle—bridging development, QA/testing, and operations. In this role, you’ll take ownership of automation, reliability, and scalability across the delivery chain, ensuring software is released efficiently, securely, and reproducibly.
You’ll play a key part in evolving CI/CD pipelines, improving quality and security controls, and supporting environments from development through to production.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Dev Ops Engineer, you will:
Build, maintain, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Azure Dev Ops
Administer and optimise Git repositories
, including branching strategies, pull request workflows, and merge/review policiesIntegrate automated testing (unit, integration, UI) into pipelines, ensuring strong test coverage and consistency
Implement and operate static code analysis tooling (e.g.,
Sonar Qube
) and define measurable quality thresholds/metricsEnsure compliance around open-source and commercial licensing
, and implement ongoing vulnerability monitoring to reduce riskPlan, coordinate, and automate release management
, including staging environments and rollback strategiesSupport the operation of systems across development, test, and production
, including:Logging
Monitoring
Alerting
Performance visibility and reliability improvements
You’ll bring:
Several years of hands-on Dev Ops experience
, ideally within agile development teamsStrong experience working with CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins
, Azure Dev Ops
, or Git LabGood working knowledge of build management
, ideally including CMakeStrong understanding of Git administration
, branching models, and best-practice merge strategiesExperience using code quality tools such as Sonar Qube
, ESLint
, or similarExposure to release/deployment management
, ideally within container and cloud environments, including:Docker
Kubernetes
Azure (or similar cloud platforms)
Basic scripting capability in at least one of the following:
Bash, Power Shell, or PythonA proactive, self-driven mindset with strong ownership and accountability
Analytical thinking, troubleshooting ability, and a structured approach to problem solving
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
It’s a plus if you have:
Experience with
Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and/or AnsibleFamiliarity with software supply chain security concepts and best practice approaches to secure delivery pipelines
A role with real impact across the full software delivery lifecycle
Collaboration with engineering and QA teams on modern tooling and best practices
