About The JobBased at the Mandarin Oriental Palace, Luzern, within the Rooms Division, the Front Office Supervisor is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Front Desk team, ensuring a smooth and efficient guest arrival and departure experience.
As Front Office Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Overseeing daily shift operations to guarantee seamless service delivery and high guest satisfaction.
- Supporting and representing the Front Office Manager and Reception Manager in their absence.
- Managing guest check-ins and check-outs in a professional and welcoming manner.
- Assisting guests with a wide range of requests from billing inquiries to providing local recommendations and collaborating across departments to create memorable guest experiences.
- Training, coaching, and supporting Front Office Agents to maintain service excellence and team performance.
- Recording and monitoring guest preferences to anticipate needs and personalize future stays.
- Handling guest complaints professionally, taking ownership from initial contact through to resolution.
- Successfully completed vocational training in the hotel industry.
- Several years of leadership experience within the Front Office department, ideally in an upscale hospitality environment.
- Strong computer literacy, including solid knowledge of Property Management Systems (PMS).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, guests will approach you with both concerns and compliments, and you remain professional, approachable, and solution-oriented at all times.
- Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and a willingness to work weekends and public holidays.
- Impeccable manners, a well-groomed appearance, and a confident, positive presence.
- An open-minded attitude and strong team spirit.
- Fluency in German and English is required; additional foreign languages are considered an asset.
