Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (Part-Time)
Crystal Lake School District 47 currently has an opening for a Bilingual Speech‑Language Pathologist, part‑time (.50). The Speech‑Language Pathologist will support school teams by providing specialized knowledge and skills in the area of communication development and difficulties and how these impact curriculum and social outcomes for students.

- Have knowledge of current speech/language pathology approaches and practices.
- Plan program goals and designated outcomes for students.
- Implement strategies, activities and techniques to promote quality student performance in communication and language development.
- Assess communication and language learning outcomes using a variety of assessment procedures (formal and informal testing, observation, ongoing monitoring of performance).
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and the community as well as outside agencies to better meet student needs.
- Address the learning styles of students.
- Work as a contributing team member.
- Assist with curriculum adaptations to meet the diverse needs of learners.
- Effectively contribute to an individual program plan for students with special needs.
REQUIRED:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License
- Speech Language Pathologist Endorsement
- Comprehensive understanding of school‑based Speech/Language therapy
- Strong understanding of data collection and monitoring of student progress
- Public or private school experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience serving young children
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team
- Ability to evaluate and assess students
- Utilization of appropriate assessment tools and techniques
- Prepare initial evaluation and progress reports as required
- Design and implement treatment plans, goals and clinical interventions
- Able to communicate effectively
- Exhibit outstanding levels of flexibility, creativity, organizational skills, interpersonal communication skills, articulation, confidentiality, and cooperativeness
- Physical requirements include sitting, standing, bending, walking, and lifting equipment and materials
- High level of flexibility, articulation, concentration, and confidentiality
CFY (Clinical Fellowship Year) supervision is available.
