The Venture Unit Wearable Sensors is a pioneer in soft dry electrodes for easy, comfortable, and long‑term monitoring of biophysiological signals such as EEG, ECG, EMG and EOG for consumer as well as medical applications.

In this role, you’ll drive the growth of our Soft Pulse technology by developing dedicated acquisition platforms and hardware reference designs. You’ll evaluate, design, test, and validate electronic systems for biopotential acquisition in various wearable form factors — from glasses to wristbands to earbuds.

As our key technical contact for partners and suppliers, you’ll lead collaborations to develop next‑generation acquisition hardware and integrated platforms. Through systematic testing and component evaluation, you’ll help shape the future of Soft Pulse‑compatible solutions and strengthen our position in wearable biosensing.

Your responsibilities
  • Lead technical evaluations and collaborations with external partners and suppliers developing biopotential acquisition solutions relevant for Soft Pulse electrodes
  • Design, prototype, and validate electronic circuits and corresponding firmware for biosignal acquisition (EEG, EMG, ECG, EOG) across wearable form factors
  • Select and characterize electrical components (amplifiers, filters, ADCs, power management) suitable for high‑impedance dry electrodes and low‑noise signal acquisition
  • Develop and execute test protocols for signal quality, impedance, and system performance; design and maintain testing fixtures and experimental setups
  • Support internal and external stakeholders in integrating Soft Pulse electrodes into their devices by providing hardware recommendations and system‑level guidance
  • Contribute to the development of a Soft Pulse validation kit, including hardware reference designs and supporting software for data visualization and customer evaluation
  • Document designs, validation results, and best practices to build internal know‑how and contribute to the definition of future proprietary solutions and patents
Our requirements
  • Degree in Electrical, Biomedical, or related engineering field (PhD or equivalent industry experience)
  • Proven experience in analog electronics design, with understanding of noise analysis, filtering, high‑impedance sensors and power/size optimization
  • Hands‑on experience in developing and testing electronics for low‑noise biosignal acquisition or similar sensor systems
  • Familiarity with CAD tools for schematic and PCB design (e.g., Altium, or similar)
  • Experience in designing test fixtures and proficiency in using electrical test instruments
  • Proficient in firmware development for embedded systems (C/C++, etc.). Wireless communication techniques are a plus
  • Knowledge of biosignal processing principles and applications such as human–machine interfaces, biofeedback/control theory, or electrodermal activity is advantageous
  • Fluent in English; additional languages (e.g., German, Italian, or Chinese) are a plus
  • Independent, hands‑on, and self‑driven personality with strong interest in wearable technologies and sensor innovation
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 25% and work on site at least 60%
