Job Description What You’ll Be Doing- Network Architecture & Design:
Define and implement robust, scalable, and secure network architectures integrating 4G/LTE, 5G (URLLC), Wi‑Fi, and Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) - Wireless Optimization:
Evaluate and tune wireless performance (RF, antenna placement, signal reliability) to ensure ultra‑low latency and high‑bandwidth communication - Middleware Integration:
Develop and maintain real‑time data flow between the robot and the supervision stack using ROS2/DDS, WebRTC, and gRPC - System Reliability & Monitoring:
Implement tools to monitor fleet connectivity, system health, and communication degradation across the network stack - Security Implementation:
Design and apply authentication, encryption, and secure message‑passing mechanisms to protect robot‑to‑cloud data streams - Cross‑Functional
Collaboration:
Work closely with Autonomy, Cloud, and Operations teams to ensure seamless end‑to‑end integration across hardware, software, and supervision systems
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Communications Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering or robotics connectivity, ideally in robotics, autonomous vehicles, or drones
- Solid knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, WebRTC, gRPC, MQTT)
- Hands‑on experience with RF engineering, antenna design, and link budget analysis for mobile systems
- Strong proficiency with ROS2/DDS and middleware integration for real‑time systems
- Proven ability to design and test secure, high‑reliability network systems
- Experience working with Linux‑based systems
- Architectures:
Familiarity with cloud‑to‑edge architectures and MEC (Multi‑access Edge Computing) deployment - Scripting:
Scripting in Python or Go for testing and automation - Domain
Experience:
Prior experience in robotics, teleoperation, or remote supervision systems
