The position of a 504 Coordinator is established to oversee and coordinate Section 504 education program components and related activities across all school sites within the Ladue School District. The 504 Coordinator acts as the official representative of the district in matters supporting students with disabilities, including those with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), 504 Plans, or accommodations related to homebound services.
This role includes providing expert consultation to staff and families, ensuring procedural compliance, and maintaining high standards of service delivery to support the academic and social-emotional success of all students.
- Direct Intervention: Provide trauma-informed counseling (individual and group) focusing on self-regulation, coping skills, and conflict resolution.
- Crisis & Mental Health: Lead efforts in suicide prevention, child abuse/neglect reporting, and de-escalation; manage supplemental mental health providers.
- Advocacy & Outreach: Conduct home visits and collaborate with community agencies to support migrant, foster, and homeless (McKinney-Vento) youth.
- Systems Support: Serve on 504 teams and MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) committees to develop evidence-based behavior plans and monitor student progress.
- Professional Learning: Provide training for staff and parents on mental health trends, diversity, and social-emotional wellness.

Education and/Or Experience- Master's degree in Administration, Special Education Administration, and/or School Counseling preferred.
- Missouri Counseling Certificate preferred, or minimum BS/BA Degree in Education at appropriate grade level required.
- Experience as an Administrator, School Counselor, Special Education Teacher, School Psychologist, or equivalent in-depth training through a practicum or internship experience; prefer prior experience as a classroom teacher.
- Thorough knowledge of IDEA, 504, and Special Education Programs.
- Thorough knowledge of the needs of special needs students and how to manage these challenges.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with staff, parents and patrons.
- Demonstrated excellence in written communication.
- Demonstrated success at designing and maintaining a positive, collaborative culture.
Salary will be determined based on education and years of experience. Salary for this position is in accordance with the Teacher Salary Schedule for the 2026-27 school year. This is a full-time contracted teaching position with benefits.
