Assistive Technology Specialist - AAC Focus .5 FTE District Wide School YearUSD 232 welcomes approximately 7,500 students each day (Early Childhood through grade 12) at 13 campuses, with seven elementary schools, three middle schools, two high schools, and Cedar Trails Exploration Center. Our district encompasses an area of nearly 100 square miles in northwest Johnson County and draws from the communities of De Soto, Shawnee, Lenexa, a portion of Olathe, and unincorporated areas of the county.
Qualifications- Master's degree in Speech‑Language Pathology, Special Education, Assistive Technology, or related field required.
- Valid Kansas licensure in Speech‑Language Pathology, Special Education or related discipline.
- Minimum of three years of experience working with students with complex communication needs.
- Demonstrated experience conducting AAC evaluations and implementing AAC systems in school settings.
- Experience providing staff training and coaching preferred.
According to the current certified salary schedule.

RequirementsAll employees must have a current TB test (Tuberculosis). If you've had a recent TB Test (less than 12 months ago) we can accept a copy of your test results. If it was more than 1 year ago, you will be required to obtain a new test. Employees are responsible for the cost of the test.
