Salary: Certified Substitute Salary Schedule
Sub Pay - $135 for a Full Day
To support parents in supporting part-time enrolled, home-educated students learn subject matter and/or skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible men and women.
Education and/or ExperienceMinimum requirement
- High School Diploma or Equivalent, Post secondary education and/or experience in subject areas to be taught.
Teachers - Minimum requirement Colorado Department of Education Substitute Authorization or Colorado Department of Education Teaching License on file with the Personnel Office on or before October 1st.

- Plans a program of study that, as much as possible, supports parents in meeting the needs, interests, and abilities of students.
- Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.
- Guides the learning process toward the achievement of instructional goals.
- Employs instructional methods and materials (including field trips) that are most appropriate for meeting instructional goals.
- Counsels with colleagues, students, and/or parents as needed.

- Strives to maintain and improve professional competence.
- Attends staff meetings and in-service training programs.

The employee supervises students in the class, parents and volunteers.

Language SkillsAbility to read and analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of administrators, staff and the general public.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional programs; ability to plan and implement lessons based on division and school objectives and the needs and abilities of students to whom assigned. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, peers, parents and community; ability to speak clear and concisely in written or oral communication.
