Eden Prairie Schools is seeking applicants for Reserve Teacher positions at elementary, middle, and high school locations. Reserve teachers play an important role in ensuring each student continues to receive high‑quality education when the regular classroom teacher is absent.
Applicants need a bachelor’s degree to apply. A current Minnesota teaching license is preferred, but if you hold a bachelor’s degree, you are eligible to apply for a Short Call or Limited Short Call Substitute Teacher license issued by PELSB.
Position Requirements- A current Minnesota teaching license (K‑12). This license allows you to substitute in any grade level.
- OR a four‑year college degree that meets the requirements for applying for a Short Call/Limited Short Call Teaching License with PELSB. If you have a 4‑year degree not in education, contact PELSB at (651) 539‑4200 or pelsb.us for guidance.
- OR for the 2025‑26 school year: work with Human Resources to apply for the Short Call Substitute Pilot Program.
Qualifications:- Minimum of an associate’s degree or equivalent and either completed or in the process of receiving substitute training from the school district or a charter school; or
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one academic year of employment as education support personnel or paraprofessional within the district or a charter school.
Number of days worked during the 2025‑26 school year will determine pay rates. Full day and half‑day rates are listed below. Substitutes who taught for more than 45 days during the 2025‑26 school year will start at the incentive rate.
