Laboratory Equipment Category Buyer

We’re looking for a CAPEX Procurement Category Buyer with strong expertise in laboratory equipment to support major investment projects. You’ll partner closely with engineering and project teams, lead sourcing activities, negotiate key supplier agreements, and drive category strategies that ensure cost efficiency, supply reliability, and long‑term value.

• Lead RFx processes and vendor selection for lab equipment.
• Develop and implement category strategies aligned with project and business needs.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Drive cost‑reduction initiatives and value‑engineering opportunities.
• Manage supplier performance, SRM activities, and risk‑mitigation plans.
• Negotiate Equipment Purchase Agreements, Framework Agreements, and major commercial contracts.
• Support project procurement teams to ensure smooth execution.

• Bachelor’s degree; technical understanding of lab or process equipment.
• 5+ years in procurement, including global or regional category management.
• Experience in regulated industries (pharma, food, cosmetics) preferred.
• Strong background in CAPEX and lab equipment categories.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluent English;
  German or French is a strong plus.
