7.5t (C1) Night Driver – Royal Mail – Swindon 📍 Swindon 💷 £17.25 – £26.93 per hour

Pertemps is recruiting experienced 7.5t (C1) night drivers to support operations at the Swindon Mail Centre for Royal Mail. If you prefer working nights when the roads are quieter and want straightforward depot-to-depot driving with excellent pay, this role offers flexible shifts and reliable work with one of the UK’s most recognised logistics operations.

You’ll be completing trunk runs between Royal Mail depots, transporting mail and parcels between distribution centres. This is mainly driving work, using well-maintained vehicles from organised depots. Some occasional movement of mail cages may be required, but the role is primarily focused on safe and efficient driving.

• Night start times between 22:00 – 01:00
• Depot-to-depot trunking runs
• Excellent pay: £17.25 – £26.93 per hour
• Shifts confirmed one week in advance
• Choice of weekly or monthly pay
• Flexible work – full-time, part-time, or ad-hoc shifts
• Immediate starts available

• Driving a 7.5t vehicle between Royal Mail depots
• Completing planned trunk routes safely and efficiently
• Following driver hours and WTD regulations
• Completing manual tachograph entries when required
• Maintaining a professional standard of driving and site conduct

• Valid 7.5t (C1) licence held for at least 2 years
• 180+ days proven commercial driving experience
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Maximum 6 penalty points (no DD, DR, IN, CD, TT endorsements)
• Good knowledge of driver hours and WTD rules
• Ability to complete manual tachograph entries
• Able to pass a DBS security check
• Successful site assessment and induction
