The Opportunity

We are seeking an accomplished and highly influential Senior Software Developer to join our E‑commerce team in Central Europe. In this role, you will be a key part of improving and extending our entire e‑commerce platform‑from warehouse integrations to frontend views and everything in between. You will act as a technical leader, driving the technical vision and execution for complex, cross‑functional initiatives that make healthcare and pet care solutions more accessible for everyone.

Location: This role will operate remotely in London/Manchester/Birmingham/Edinburgh/Glasgow OR Cambridge.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities) Technical Execution & Architecture
  • Technical Implementation:
    Architect and build scalable solutions for services connected to our e‑commerce platform, ensuring alignment with the broader technical roadmap.
  • Problem Solving:
    Resolve complex, ambiguous technical issues across warehouse integrations and user‑facing systems, acting as a technical subject matter expert for the team.
  • System Design:
    Design coherent, multi‑component solutions in collaboration with Product partners to ensure high‑quality, intuitive user experiences.
  • Deployment Mastery:
    Lead the successful rollout of major features and take ownership of streamlining delivery pipelines through CI/CD and automation.
Operational Impact & Best Practices
  • Drive Efficiency:
    Improve team productivity by identifying and addressing technical debt and proactively automating repetitive manual tasks.
  • Monitoring & Reliability:
    Implement robust metrics, monitoring, and alerting for every project to ensure high system availability and performance.
  • Technical Discovery:
    Conduct research and spikes on new tools or third‑party providers to help the team make data‑driven “buy vs. build” decisions.
Collaboration & Technical Influence
  • Cross‑Functional Alignment:
    Own technical initiatives from conception to delivery, effectively communicating technical constraints and trade‑offs to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Peer Mentorship:
    Provide technical guidance and thorough code reviews for Level 1–2 engineers, fostering high standards for code quality and maintainability.
  • Constructive

    Collaboration:

    Use clear, empathetic communication to navigate technical disagreements and build consensus within the engineering team.
What You Bring (Skills & Experience)
  • Demonstrated Seniority: 5+ years of relevant work experience as a full‑stack engineer with a proven ability to deliver complex software solutions to production.
  • Technical Breadth & Depth:
    Strong knowledge of our polyglot environment and core tech stack:
  • Frameworks/API:
    Vue.js, Nuxt, and Graph

    QL‑based APIs.
  • Infrastructure: AWS, Docker, and MySQL/Postgre

    SQL.
  • Architectural Fluency: A proven ability to create defect‑free designs involving multiple interacting components and system boundaries.
  • E‑commerce Expertise:
    Previous experience working with e‑commerce products is considered a strong plus for this role.
  • Communication:
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a consultative and proactive approach to stakeholder management.
