Fire & Security Systems Engineer
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fire & Security Systems Engineer to join a growing and professional technical team. This role involves the installation, maintenance, servicing, and fault diagnosis of a range of electronic security and life-safety systems across commercial and residential sites.
The successful candidate will be committed to high standards of workmanship, customer service, and compliance, with strong technical knowledge and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
* Installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of fire and security systems
* Fault finding and repair across multiple system types
* Working on systems including (but not limited to):
Fire alarm systems
Intruder alarms
CCTV systems
Access control systems
Door entry and associated communications systems
* Completing works in line with relevant British Standards and regulations
* Accurately completing job reports and documentation
* Providing a professional and customer-focused service on-site
* Participating in an on-call rota (split into days, not weeks)
Working Hours
08:00 – 16:30
Overtime paid at 1.5x when working past contracted hours on weekdays
Paid travel time for journeys exceeding 30 minutes each way

Candidate Requirements
Previous experience working with fire and/or security systems
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Good understanding of industry standards and regulations
Full UK driving license
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Professional attitude with strong communication skills
