Henderson Technology, creators of the award‑winning EDGEPoS software, offers innovative Electronic Point of Sale (EPOS) solutions for retailers. This role involves being the primary contact for new and existing UK customers, enhancing relationships, and improving their experience with EDGEPoS.

A look into the role

To support our continued growth within the GB market, we are recruiting for a new field based Business Development Managers. The successful candidates will have full autonomy to expand our customer base in a largely untapped region, supported by our Newtownabbey operations team in Northern Ireland.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a business on a strong growth trajectory, where your contributions as a Business Development Manager will directly shape the success of the region and the wider business. You'll work with independent retailers, wholesale partners, and multi‑site operators to introduce a broad suite of services that support retail performance and drive growth.

The successful candidate will be a skilled negotiator, able to understand customer needs, manage multiple sales opportunities, and close deals within deadlines.

Additionally, they will be capable of providing live demos of EDGEPoS.

Working as Business Development Manager you will:
  • Generate new leads and develop new business making cold calls
  • Demonstrate capabilities of our award‑winning EDGEPoS.
  • Develop and execute a sales plan that provides complete territory coverage.
  • Attend, exhibit and present at events in line with Henderson Technology partnerships.
  • Grow business within preferred EPOS supplier partnerships currently in place
Skills for Success Joining us as Business Development Manager the minimum criteria you’ll need is:
  • Proven field based Business‑To‑Business sales experience within FMCG, wholesale, retail or a related environment
  • A track record of developing sales regions
  • Strong understanding of the retail landscape
  • Full valid UK/EU Driving license

This is a full‑time position working 36.5 hours per week. Working hours will be 8:45am‑4:45pm Monday to Thursday and 8:45am‑3:45pm Friday. Hybrid and flexible working arrangement available.
