Senior Commercial Manager

Pro Staff Construction Ltd is working with a construction contractor in South Wales who are looking to appoint a Senior Commercial Manager to join their senior leadership team.

This is a key role with full ownership of the commercial division.

• Lead the commercial function across multiple live construction projects
• Line manage and mentor the QS team, driving accountability and performance
• Maintain strong commercial,idiscipline, cost control, and margin protection
• Oversee interim and final accounts, variations, and contractual claims
• Contribute to business strategy, growth planning, and continuous improvement
• Ensure timely CVRs, applications for payment, and commercial reporting
• Monitor profitability, cashflow, and early risk indicators
• Report monthly to the board on performance, risk, and opportunities
• Set and track key commercial KPIs across the business

• Develop and mentor QS and Assistant QS staff
• ontmoeten act as senior commercial lead with clients, consultants, and supply chain
• Champion collaboration across construction, finance, technical, and HSEQ teams

• Proven experience in a senior commercial role within construction or house building
• Strong leadership and people‑management skills
• Excellent understanding of cost control, cash‑flow, CVRs, and contract administration
• Commercially astute, detail‑driven, and solution‑focused
• Confident working with JCT / NEC contracts
• Able to operate at both strategic and hands‑on level
