Vehicle Technician – Swansea
Motorpoint, the UK’s leading omnichannel car retailer of nearly new cars, is seeking a dedicated Pre‑Delivery Inspection (PDI) Technician to join our team in Swansea. As a PDI Technician you will ensure vehicles are mechanically prepared and ready for handover, supporting our commitment to be the Car Buyer’s Champion.
Salary & Hours£13.90 per hour plus competitive bonus. Permanent contract. 42.5 hours per week on a 5‑day rota, with weekend work required.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards
- Inspect vehicles and diagnose faults to meet Motorpoint’s quality benchmarks
- Follow the PDI process, including conducting road tests, to ensure readiness for handover
- Complete documentation accurately and support vehicle movements as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace and collaborate with colleagues across departments
- Champion health and safety and contribute to a positive team culture
- Carry out any other ad‑hoc tasks as required
- A full UK driving licence
- A minimum Level 2 motor trade qualification
- EV qualification desirable – training provided if needed
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot issues during inspections
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Team player who can also work independently
- Motivation to meet performance goals and uphold quality standards
- Organised and efficient in managing workload and priorities
- Commitment to safety and maintaining a tidy workspace
- Willingness to support other sites when needed
