We are recruiting for a motivated, driven and commercially minded Commercial General Insurance Broker to join a growing and forward-thinking insurance brokerage.

This role is ideal for an experienced sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is ready to take on leadership responsibilities while continuing to develop their own client portfolio.

The Role of the Commercial Insurance Broker

This is a leadership-focused position combining hands-on client management with responsibility for guiding and supporting a team of brokers.

You will play a key role in driving business growth, managing a portfolio of commercial clients across a range of sectors, and contributing to the wider strategic direction of the business.

Key Responsibilities of the Commercial Insurance Broker

* Develop, grow and manage a portfolio of commercial insurance clients

* Provide tailored advice and negotiate competitive insurance programmes

* Drive new business opportunities and support business development strategies

* Manage renewals, mid-term adjustments and new business enquiries

* Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers and underwriters

* Ensure high standards of service delivery and client satisfaction

* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance products, market trends and compliance

* Ensure all activity complies with FCA regulations and internal procedures

* Provide guidance and support to other brokers as part of the leadership team

About You

* Proven experience as a Commercial Insurance Broker

* Strong knowledge of commercial general insurance products

* Previous leadership or management experience (highly desirable)

* Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills

* Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on client work

* Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills

* Cert CII qualification (or working towards) preferred
