As an M365 Engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting the DVLA’s digital workplace by providing technical expertise across the full Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

You will maintain, optimise, and enhance key Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, One Drive, Defender, Purview, Power Platform, and the M365 wider suite. Your work will help ensure these services remain secure, scalable, and aligned with the needs of the organisation. A key part of the role involves using Power Shell to automate routine tasks, streamline administration, and improve the efficiency and consistency of M365 operations.

The role focuses on technical support, administration, and solution enablement, empowering teams across the organisation to make effective use of Microsoft 365 tools. You will work closely with business areas, including our Strategy and Policy teams, to ensure staff have the reliable, well‑managed platforms needed to deliver engaging, collaborative, and efficient digital workplace experiences.

Your responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Ensure services are delivered and used as required
  • Work with and support colleagues to provide infrastructure services.

Required experience:

To be successful in this role you will need to have the following experience:

  • Deep Technical Understanding of Microsoft 365 Services
  • Strong Troubleshooting & Analytical Skills
  • Works confidently with other teams and builds strong rapport
  • Comfortable with gathering accurate requirements and engaging with stakeholders

. Full time roles at DVLA consist of 37 hours per week.
