Overview

We're looking for a dedicated Team Leader to join our friendly residential care home in Pontardawe! If you're an experienced Senior Carer eager for more responsibility, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Responsibilities
  • As a Team Leader, you'll play a key role in supporting both residents and staff.
  • Motivating and leading the care team to provide exceptional support.
  • Ensuring safety and well-being by following all safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Supervising and mentoring Care Workers to help them develop and thrive.
  • Maintaining records and documenting any concerns accurately.
  • Experience in implementing and updating care plans, risk assessments, and audits.
  • Leadership experience, including team management, supervision, and conducting annual appraisals.

Location details:
Dan y Bryn is set in beautiful landscaped surroundings in the small village of Ynysmeudwy, on the outskirts of Pontardawe. We’re known for our excellent reputation as a quality and valued care provider, where the needs of our residents are always at the heart of what we do.

Hours:

33 hour NIGHTS (permanent) and 36 hours DAY (permanent). Shift times: 8am–9pm or 8am–2.30pm/2.30pm–9pm over a 2 week rolling rota.

Qualifications
  • At least 2 years' experience in a care worker role.
  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 (or equivalent) and a willingness to work towards Level 3.
  • Experience in implementing and updating care plans, risk assessments, and audits.
  • Leadership experience, including team management, supervision, and conducting annual appraisals.
