Job responsibilitiesPaediatric Brain Injury Support Worker – Sketty – Night Shifts - Bank Cover
We are seeking dedicated support workers to join our team on night shifts for our new client in Sketty, Swansea. Our client is a young male who has a brain injury, dystonia and epilepsy. He is PEG fed and requires suctioning, so experience and/or prior knowledge and training for these are ideal; training can be provided.
Previous experience supporting young children is essential.
Shift times: 9pm – 7.30am, 7 nights per week.
Pay: £18 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring client’s condition through the night
- Delivering personalised care routines
- Administering medication
- Providing emotional support and companionship
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in client’s conditions
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care
Requirements:
- Paediatric experience, preferably in a similar role working with brain injuries, PEG, epilepsy and dystonia
- Relevant qualifications in health and social care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work the specified hours
- Relevant qualifications in health and social care, as well as previous experience supporting young children, preferably in a similar role working with brain injuries, PEG, epilepsy, and dystonia
