Position: Social Care Personal Assistant (Saturday or Sunday 10-3 or 11-4)

Overview

Please note this is not a Swansea city council job. You will be working with a private client who received direct payments.

A little about myself:
Would you like to be my friend? Hi, I’m a 10-year-old boy living in Swansea looking for a PA. A little about me, I love socialising and meeting new people my mam tells me I’m a social butterfly. I like high fives, fist pumps and hugs. I enjoy going for walks, messy play, going to the park and jumping on trampolines.

I don’t have a very good attention span, and I can easily get overwhelmed, and my behaviour can be a little challenging. If you think we would be a good match please get in touch as I’d love to meet you.

Role details
  • Driver required to take me out.
  • Male / female preferred.
  • Hours of work:
    Alternate Saturdays/Sundays for 5/6 hours
  • Rate of pay: £13.13
Essential

I need you to:

  • Can provide me with personal care.
  • Can be my calm when the world around me becomes stormy and difficult for me to navigate.
  • Have experience in this line of work
  • Can drive so we can go on adventures while singing along to my favourite songs.
Desirable

PA responsibilities
  • Respect and understand the importance of privacy and confidentiality.
  • Be confident, mature and have patience.
  • Be dependable and arrive on time.
  • Be friendly with an easy-going manner.
  • Be adaptable and flexible.
  • Be supportive but not take over.
  • Have business insurance on your car to take clients out.
Concerning the position

A trial period will be necessary in the first instance in the form of a six-month probationary period. Salary will be paid monthly (Annual leave is calculated on a pro rata basis). A DBS MUST be processed prior to any commencement of employment. Costs of DBS will be met by Swansea council where applicant is eligible.
