Overview

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Finance Business Partner role at HMT to join our progressive team and support the central finance function. This role is ideal for a dynamic and inquisitive professional looking to provide strategic financial insight and support to clinical and operational teams. As the Finance Business Partner, you will ensure that financial performance aligns with the organisation’s objectives and patient care priorities.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with service leaders to interpret financial results, develop robust budgets and forecasts, and identify opportunities for efficiency and value improvement.
  • Translate financial data into actionable recommendations, influencing decision-making, driving cost-effective service delivery, and supporting the achievement of both financial and operational targets.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and reporting while providing strategic insights to guide key decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with the leadership team to drive growth, efficiency, and financial excellence across the organisation.
Qualifications
  • Significant post‑qualification experience in a senior financial role.
  • High level of computer literacy, including proficient use of accounting software and report writing.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff at all levels and effective communication skills.
  • Approachable, calm under pressure, able to prioritise effectively and manage conflict and competing interest groups.
  • Strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
  • Problem‑solving and creative thinking skills.
  • Good verbal, written, and numerical skills.
  • ACCA qualified accountant.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with finance systems.
  • Experience with in the healthcare or not-for-profit sector.
