About the RoleProject Centre Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Traffic Engineer to support the delivery of highways and traffic engineering projects across our growing portfolio.
You will provide technical leadership across a wide range of consultancy commissions, including the design of traffic, cycling, walking and public transport schemes covering junctions, corridors and urban areas. Alongside technical delivery, you will support junior engineers, manage smaller projects, and contribute to high quality design outputs across the wider business.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive engineer looking to take ownership of projects while mentoring and developing others.

- Deliver traffic and highways schemes from feasibility through to preliminary design
- Manage small to medium sized projects, including programme and financial control
- Design and review traffic, cycling and public realm schemes
- Check and approve technical reports and drawings
- Undertake design risk assessments in line with CDM Regulations
- Liaise with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
- Mentor junior staff and support professional development
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in traffic/highways engineering
- Experience working with Local Authorities, Developers or Contractors
- Strong working knowledge of DMRB, TSRGD 2016, Traffic Signs Manual, Highways Act and relevant standards
- Proficient in AutoCAD and highways design software (signing/road markings)
- Understanding of CDM Regulations
- Relevant degree/HND/HNC (Engineering, Geography or similar)
- Member of (or working towards) a professional institution (MICE, MCIHT, MIHE, MILT etc)
- Drivers License
- Road Safety Audit experience
- Project management and commercial awareness
- Knowledge of TMA 2004 and London design standards
