Teaching Assistant
- Primary Support
£14.30 per hour | Monday–Friday | School Hours | Swansea
Are you passionate about supporting children in their education? We are currently recruiting dedicated Primary Learning Support Assistants to work in welcoming primary schools across Swansea.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who want to make a real difference in the classroom, supporting pupils from Nursery through to Year 6, including providing 1:1 support for pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN).
The Role
As a Primary Learning Support Assistant, you will play an important role in helping children feel supported, confident, and engaged in their learning. You will work closely with teachers to support pupils in lessons and provide targeted 1:1 support for pupils with additional learning needs.
Key Details
Pay: £14.30 per hour
Hours:
Typically 8:30am – 3:30pm
Days:
Monday to Friday (No weekends)
Location:
Primary schools across Swansea
Start:
Immediate and ongoing opportunities available
Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 support for pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
Support teachers with classroom activities and learning delivery
Work with pupils across Nursery to Year 6
Encourage positive behaviour and classroom engagement
Support pupils with social, emotional, and learning development
Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
What We’re Looking For
Experience working with children or young people (school, childcare, support work or similar)
Experience supporting Additional Learning Needs such as ASD, ADHD, or speech and language needs (desirable)
A patient, caring, and proactive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for helping children succeed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
