Teaching Assistant

This opportunity is ideal for a Teaching Assistant who wants to play a meaningful role in supporting learners both academically and emotionally. Our partner schools in Blaenau Gwent are known for their supportive leadership teams and strong focus on inclusion, collaboration, and pupil wellbeing.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and wider support staff to deliver tailored support. You will help create a positive, structured learning environment where pupils feel safe, encouraged, and understood. This role focuses on building trust, adapting activities, and promoting independence.

Working within schools throughout Blaenau Gwent, your responsibilities will include:

Delivering one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with additional needs

Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting emotional regulation

Assisting with differentiated classroom activities

Providing consistent care, patience, and reassurance during the school day

In return for your commitment as a Teaching Assistant, you will receive a competitive daily rate of £89-£92 (including holiday pay), easy-to-use online timesheets and payroll systems, and ongoing support from an experienced education consultant.
