We’re working with a range of welcoming and inclusive secondary schools and alternative education provisions across Carmarthenshire and Swansea to recruit Unqualified Teaching Assistants. • Supporting pupils in PRUs, SEMH provisions, and alternative education settings
• Assisting with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) support
• Providing one-to-one or small group interventions where required
• Helping pupils stay engaged, confident, and motivated in their learning
• Building positive and trusting relationships with students and staff
• Implementing strategies to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour effectively
• Contributing to safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environments

No formal teaching qualifications? No problem.

You’ll be:

• Positive, patient, and proactive
• A confident communicator and team player

• Passionate about supporting young people across a range of ages, abilities, and settings
• Adaptable and eager to learn within different educational environments

Previous experience working with children, young people, or in care/support roles is desirable but not essential.

• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
• Level 2 Safeguarding training
• Two professional references covering the last 24 months

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
