Position: Social Care Personal Assistant (14 hours per week)

Please note this is not a Swansea city council job. You will be working with a private client who received direct payments.

A little about myself:
I am a lady in my 40’s living in Swansea. My main disability is my sight; I am registered blind with no vision. I also suffer with chronic fatigue. I require support to carry out day to day tasks like admin, shopping, and attending appointments. I also need my PA to be present when looking after my children in the community.

I am looking for a person to help me in my daily family life and support me to carry out my life to its fullest.

Driver required take me out MUST be willing to take a guide dog in their vehicle.

Female preferred.

Hours of work: 14 hours per week (mainly Thursday). Over 2 days.

Rate of pay: £13.13

Essential requirements
  • Like dogs as I have a guide dog
  • Be flexible
  • Be happy to be my eyes around my children and help if needed
  • Be able to work evenings/weekends when needed
  • Attend fun activities with my children such as soft play

Support tasks

Concerning the position

A trial period will be necessary in the first instance in the form of a six-month probationary period. Salary will be paid monthly (Annual leave is calculated on a pro rata basis). A DBS MUST be processed prior to any commencement of employment. Costs of DBS will be met by Swansea council where applicant is eligible.
