Overview
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Swansea. This role will report directly to the Partner and will involve supporting a diverse client portfolio while contributing to the development of junior team members and maintaining high technical standards across the team.
Responsibilities- Preparing year-end accounts for a range of clients including limited companies, sole traders, partnerships, and charities in accordance with FRS
102 and other applicable standards - Providing support to and developing junior members of the team
- Reviewing the work of junior staff, resolving technical queries, and ensuring files are ready for Partner review
- Working closely with the Partner and supporting the delivery of client services
- Assisting with audit assignments where required (audit experience advantageous)
- Communicating with clients via telephone and email to respond to queries and provide support
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience within an accountancy practice
- ACA / ACCA part-qualified, fully qualified or Qualified By Experience (QBE)
- Up to date with accounting training and CPD requirements
- Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills
- Experience with CCH is advantageous, although training will be provided
- Ability to review work and provide support and training to junior team members
- Strong communication skills with a professional approach to client interaction
